BEHIND THE IMAGE WITH FINN TAYLOR AND FC BARCELONA.

Spending time in the company of the bulk of the Barcelona footballers was both surreal and a wonderful experience. It was a sunny, hazy day, and the light spilled across this training facility on the edge of town. I was brought in by Nike to snap real, un-staged moments, and to capture dynamics between the players as they unfolded organically.

As I was not having to direct anyone, I waited and watched, evaluated and logged, clicked over shoulders, in pockets and shadows. I attracted very little attention, and the results are refreshingly humble. I was given the opportunity to be a fly on extremely valuable shoulders and football boots. So much commotion, furore and fuss tends to engulf these meetings of ad-making and superstars, that honest moments have suffered and become few and far between. Yet, I think they always carry the most weight and value.
