"Randy is a Brooklyn-born bike mechanic and urban trick rider. His brain is as smart as his tricks, and come rain or shine, 2pm or 2am, he is spinning around New York, only stopping for fried chicken, coffee or cigarettes. Spending a few days with him, seeing his bedroom with bikes hanging above his bed, his prized battered Italian road fixie, meeting his proud Mum, I couldn’t help but be in awe of somebody who spent hours and hours every day (even sacrificing his front teeth on tarmac!) to better his trade and hone his skills. I often come across people who expect far too much, far too easily and are madly egotistical, that when a bicycle, coffee and New York streets is enough to flourish and drive a person, entertain and forward a clever mind, it’s refreshing, humbling and cool."- Finn Taylor
