Behind The Lens with Philippe Starck & Boat International.

Following his recent shoot for the latest issue of Boat International, we asked Photographer Christoffer Rudquist to select his top three images from the day and give us an inside scoop on what it was like to shoot Philippe Starck on board his infamous yacht!

"A few years ago my wife received a Kartell box containing a Louis Ghost chair by Philippe Starck, naturally I was super excited when Boat international commissioned me to go to Abu Dhabi to photograph the one and only monsieur Starck on board of Motor Yacht A.

Arriving in Doha I expected the classic UAE greeting of sun and hot dry desert air. Morning came and it was cloudy, moist, and not particularly warm.
Morning became afternoon and the sun started to break through the lid of clouds, just enough.

Monsieur Starck arrived and we got ready for the session.
It was the first time we met, but my signature knitted cap gave me a Jacques Cousteau look on board the white Yacht, and the ice was broken.

He is as fantastic and fun a person as he is a designer."- Christoffer Rudquist.
