Charlie Denis is a Los Angeles-based photographer and filmmaker working across fashion, music and commerce. A Central Saint Martins graduate, his background in Fine Art consistently informs his approach to photography and film. He rejects documenting realism, believing a camera inherently imposes performance, and instead fuses the theatrical with the inescapable banality of everyday life. This duality means his work lives in limbo between highly stylized cinematic glamour and mundane boredom—his subjects often appearing “all dressed up with nowhere to go.”
